About FreeCamps

FreeCamps answers one question — where can I legally sleep tonight? — with sources instead of folklore.

It is built first for people who need somewhere lawful to sleep, not for people planning a holiday. The law that decides it — state rules, council local laws, signage — is public, precise, and almost impossible for one person to assemble. This site assembles it: every claim traced to an official source, every gap labelled, verified the same way every time.

Free, no accounts, no ads, no cookies, and never a crowd-sourced list of places to sleep — rules, not spots.

The only measurement is a count of how many times each page is opened, taken by Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookie, keeps no identifier for you and builds no profile, so the site can see that a page is read without being able to see who read it.

Who runs it

FreeCamps is built and run by National Digital, an Australian software company. National Digital is a private, commercial organisation that also builds free, independent civic tools like this one. Nobody pays for it to exist, and it carries no advertising and no sponsorship, sells nothing and links to no paid service.

This domain deliberately sends and receives no email. To report an error, ask a question or reuse something, use National Digital's contact page.
